City of Lillies
Thanks to the funds provided by CLDP, this summer I studied abroad in Florence, Italy at the Lorenzo de' Medici institute via a program hosted by NC State University. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to learn about the Italian Renaissance and modern culture both in the classroom and while exploring the city's streets. My weekdays consisted of preparing traditional Italian cuisine and tasting wine, basically turning me pro at the delicacy. On the weekends, we traveled to other Italian towns such as Venice, Lucca and Capri. I loved comparing the similarities and differences between each! Real World Exposure
The fall of 2019 welcomed my first internship with Jenna Webb Art. Jenna Webb is more than about making profits off of one-of-a-kind masterpieces. She is about sharing the vitality of self-love and positivity. She also transforms her pain from chronic migraines into art, similar to what I do with my Ehlers-Danlos symptoms and dancing.
